Introduction
The analog signal chain of ZSPD5188 includes two signal chains and one photodetection chain. The photodetection chain generates excitation signals via LED drivers and receives and measures return signals through the current input of the analog front-end. Four independent time slot controls are available, allowing different LED drivers and analog front-end parameters to be configured in different time slots. The analog signal reception chain of the optical channel primarily consists of a current signal input port, an internal photodiode (ZSPD5188 only), an analog input multiplexer, an input bias cancellation current source, a transimpedance amplifier, an ambient light rejection circuit, and an integrator. The optical analog signal reception chain is enabled by time slot control. During the active period of each time slot, the optical analog signal reception chain is activated according to the corresponding time slot configuration and operates synchronously with the corresponding transmission chain (LED driver). To reduce system power consumption, ZSPD5188 operates in a time-slotted manner. Upon completing one round of signal sampling, the chip enters sleep mode, powering down most modules until the next time slot period becomes active again. ZSPD5188 supports up to four different time slot configurations, namely Time Slot A through D, each with distinct parameter settings to enable signal acquisition under multiple different parameter configurations.
