Introduction
The ZSFS1001 integrates a MEMS strain sensing element with signal processing circuitry, and outputs a digital signal proportional to the deformation caused by pressure on the chip via I2C. When configured in autonomous key mode, the built-in recognition algorithm outputs a simple high/low logic level based on press events, requiring no MCU control. The product is designed to replace traditional mechanical buttons, targeting applications such as smartphone frames, earphones, electric toothbrushes, and other wearable or mobile devices where press actions are detected through elastic deformation. For array applications such as tactile sensing or electronic skin, the ZSFS1001 offers significant advantages over conventional resistive or capacitive arrays: 1) digital signal transmission provides strong immunity to EMI; 2) compatible with any surface material; 3) multi-mode sensing; 4) automatic sensing and event-triggered wake-up; 5) ultra-low power consumption. The ZSFS1001 comprises a MEMS strain sensing element, a primary ADC, a FIFO buffer, and a temperature sensor, with a system clock of 32kHz. The ADC is enabled by default and can be toggled on/off via the ADC_DIS register. The ZSFS1001 can output a digital code stream representing strain magnitude, or be configured to output high/low logic levels solely based on press event detection.
