Introduction
The ISO774X is a high-performance quad-channel digital isolator featuring a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier that supports isolation voltages up to 5 kVrms. This digital isolator is used for communication between two different power domains to prevent noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground, or interfering with and damaging sensitive circuits. The device supports an enable pin that can be used to place the corresponding output in a high-impedance state in multi-master driver applications, thereby reducing power consumption. The ISO774X supports up to four forward channels and two reverse channels. If input power or signal is lost, the ISO774X1 defaults to a high output, while the ISO774X0 defaults to a low output — see the "Functional Modes" section for details. The device achieves high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions at low power consumption. The ISO774X employs innovative chip design and layout to significantly enhance EMC performance, meeting system-level compliance requirements for ESD, EFT, surge, and radiated emissions. The ISO774X family supports both wide-body and narrow-body SOIC-16 packages.
