Introduction
DPM10C60 is a three-phase IGBT inverter module with integrated IGBTs and gate driver ICs, suitable for driving brushless DC motors, permanent magnet brushless motors, and similar applications. The gate driver IC is optimized for IGBT operation, reducing switching losses and EMI. Multiple protection features are integrated into the gate driver IC, including UVLO, overcurrent protection, and fault reporting. A built-in thermistor provides temperature monitoring. The high-side IGBT drive circuit uses a bootstrap power supply design, requiring only a single supply voltage. The emitter of each low-side IGBT is brought out separately, enabling independent current sampling for all three phases and supporting multiple control algorithms. The circuit is housed in a DIP-24H package with heatsink.
DPM10C60 integrates HVIC, LVIC, power IGBTs, freewheeling diodes (FRD), and bootstrap diodes (BSD), achieving high integration density with multiple built-in protection features for enhanced reliability. The emitters of the three low-side IGBTs are individually accessible for independent three-phase current sampling, accommodating various drive schemes. The high-side IGBT drive circuit generates floating supply voltages via bootstrapping, with bootstrap diodes already integrated on-chip, minimizing external component count. All three floating supplies include undervoltage protection to prevent IGBTs from operating under high power dissipation conditions.
