Introduction
FSV9520 is a highly integrated read/write card IC for 13.56MHz contactless communication. It integrates all types of passive contactless communication modes and protocols at 13.56MHz, and supports multi-layer applications of ISO14443A.
The internal transmitter of FSV9520 can drive the reader antenna to communicate with ISO14443A/MIFARE cards and transponders without any additional circuitry. The receiver section of FSV9520 provides a robust and efficient demodulation and decoding circuit for processing ISO14443A-compatible transponder signals. The digital section handles ISO14443A framing and error detection (parity & CRC). FSV9520 supports MF1xxS20, MF1xxS70, and MF1xxS50 series products, and supports higher-speed MIFARE contactless communication with bidirectional data transfer rates up to 828kbit/s.
FSV9520 supports read/write mode for the ISO/IEC14443 A/MIFARE communication protocol, which supports multiple transfer speeds and modulation schemes.
Communication between the FSV9520 wireless UART and the external controller uses the ISO/IEC14443A/MIFARE protocol.
The internal CRC processor calculates values transmitted based on the ISO/IEC14443 A part 3 protocol and checks a parity bit generated during transmission. This bit can be disabled using the parity enable feature of the Marred register.
