MAX3077E is a RS-485/RS-422 transceiver integrating a single driver and single receiver, operating at 3.3V with ±15kV ESD protection. The device includes protection circuitry to ensure the receiver output remains logic-high when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. If all drivers on the terminated bus are disabled (high-impedance), the receiver output is also logic-high. These devices feature plug-and-play capability to eliminate spurious signals on the bus during power-up or hot-plug events. The MAX3077E driver's slew-rate-unlimited rise time allows data rates up to 15Mbps, suitable for full-duplex communication. All devices feature a receiver input impedance of 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 drivers on the same bus.
