MAX3074E is a single-channel RS-485/RS-422 transceiver integrating a driver and receiver, featuring 3.3V operation and ±15kV ESD protection. The device incorporates protection circuitry to ensure the receiver output remains logic-high when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. If the driver on the terminated bus is disabled (high-impedance state), the receiver output is also logic-high. These devices feature plug-and-play capability, eliminating spurious transitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion. The MAX3074E employs a slew-rate-limited driver supporting data rates up to 500kbps, suitable for full-duplex communication. All devices feature a receiver input impedance of 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 drivers to be connected on the bus.
