MAX3076E is an RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with one driver and one receiver. It integrates protection circuitry to ensure the receiver output remains logic high when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. If all drivers on the bus are disabled (high impedance), the receiver output also remains logic high. These devices feature hot-plug capability, eliminating spurious transitions on the bus during power-up or hot insertion.

The MAX3076E driver features an unlimited slew rate, enabling data rates up to 15 Mbps. The MAX3076E is designed for full-duplex communication.

The MAX3076E receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 drivers on the bus.
