Introduction
The 74HC244 is an 8-bit buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs. The device can be used as two 4-bit buffers or one 8-bit buffer. It features two output enable inputs (1OE and 2OE), each controlling four 3-state outputs. When nOE is HIGH, the outputs enter a high-impedance off-state. Input clamping diodes allow the inputs to be interfaced to voltages higher than VCC using current-limiting resistors.
