Introduction
The ISO7321CDR digital isolator offers superior performance characteristics and reliability, outperforming optocouplers and other digital isolation technologies. It employs a next-generation intelligent voltage-division technique based on capacitive dividing principles, enabling precise transmission of voltage signals across the isolation barrier without the need for modulation or demodulation. Each transmission channel operates independently, supporting multiple channel direction configurations, with isolation voltage ratings from 1.5kV rms to 5.0kV rms and signal transmission rates from DC to 600Mbps. The device supports 3.0V operating voltage and enables signal level shifting between 3.0V and 5.5V. When the input-side supply is unpowered or no input signal is present while the output-side supply is active, the isolator outputs a default logic level.
