HGSEMI SP3485ECN

SP3485E is a 3.3V, half-duplex, low-power RS-485 transceiver compliant with the TIA/EIA-485 standard. The device includes one driver and one receiver, each independently enable or disable, presenting a high-impedance state when disabled. Its receiver features 1/8 unit load (96kΩ) input impedance, supporting up to 256 transceivers in parallel on the same bus for error-free data transmission at up to 12Mbps. The operating voltage range is 3.0~3.6V, with integrated failsafe, over-temperature protection, current-limiting protection, and overvoltage protection. Driver outputs are protected via overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown circuitry (triggered when die temperature exceeds 140°C). The transceiver is suitable for bidirectional data communication on multipoint bus transmission lines, with typical applications including bus and daisy-chain network topologies. For port protection, TVS devices, thermistors, gas discharge tubes, or varistors can be combined to address harsh environmental conditions such as ESD and surge.
