Introduction
The TPSM5601R5 power module is a highly integrated 1.5A power solution that combines a 60V input step-down DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and multiple passive components within a thermally enhanced QFN package. This 5mm × 5.5mm × 4mm, 15-pin QFN package utilizes enhanced HotRod QFN technology to achieve improved thermal performance, compact size, and low EMI. The package features exposed pins with a single large thermal pad for simplified layout routing and assembly.
The TPSM5601R5 is a compact, easy-to-use power module with a wide adjustable output voltage range of 1.0V to 6V. The total solution requires only four external components, eliminating the need for loop compensation design and magnetic component selection during the design process. The TPSM5601R5 offers a comprehensive feature set including power-good indication, programmable UVLO, pre-bias startup, overcurrent and thermal protection, making it an excellent device for powering a wide range of applications. Space-constrained applications can benefit from the 5.0mm × 5.5mm package. Additionally, the TPSM5601R5S also provides spread-spectrum operation.
