The LMR544xx is a simple, easy-to-use wide VIN synchronous buck converter capable of driving load currents up to 1A and 0.6A. The device features a wide input voltage range of 4V to 36V, making it suitable for a variety of industrial applications requiring power regulation from unregulated sources. The LMR544xx operates at a switching frequency of 1.1MHz, supporting the use of relatively small inductors for an optimized solution size. It is available in a PFM version for high efficiency at light loads and an FPWM version for constant-frequency operation with low output voltage ripple across the full load range. Soft-start and compensation circuitry are implemented internally, minimizing the number of external components required. The device incorporates built-in protection features, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting, discontinuous mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown under excessive power dissipation conditions.
