The TUSB1142 is a 10 Gbps USB 3.2 linear retimer with 1:2 demultiplexer or 2:1 multiplexer functionality, suitable for USB-C applications. The TUSB1142 is used to reside between the host and the USB-C receptacle or between the USB device and the USB-C receptacle. The TUSB1142 supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), as well as USB 3.2 low-power states (Disconnect, U1, U2, and U3). The TUSB1142 features an innovative Adaptive Equalization (AEQ) function. The AEQ function will automatically determine what it considers to be the optimal Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) compensation settings between the TUSB1142 and the USB device plugged into the USB connector, thereby improving interoperability. The TUSB1142 operates from a single 3.3V power supply and is available in a 40-pin WQFN package.
