MBI MBI6655GSB-B

MBI6655 is a constant-current, high-brightness, step-down DC-to-DC converter that provides a cost-effective solution for indoor/outdoor LED lighting applications. With only 5 external components, it delivers stable current for high-current LED lighting. MBI6655 employs a Hysteret chip PFM architecture, eliminating the need for external compensation circuits and simplifying circuit design. The output current of MBI6655 can be adjusted for each output stage by connecting external resistors of different values, and dimming control can be achieved by applying a PWM signal to the DIM pin. MBI6655 also features a comprehensive set of on-chip protection mechanisms. The Start-Up over-current protection limits inrush current during power-on. Thermal protection (TP) and over-current protection (OCP) ensure system stability, while LED open-circuit and short-circuit protection prevents chip damage under abnormal operating conditions. MBI6655 is currently available in two thermally efficient packages: SOT-89-5L and SOP-8L.
