Introduction
The AiP74HC/HCT165 is an 8-bit serial or parallel-in, serial-out shift register. The circuit features one serial data input, eight parallel data inputs, and two complementary serial outputs. When the parallel load input is LOW, data is asynchronously loaded into the shift register from D0 to D7. When the parallel load input is HIGH, data enters the register serially at the serial data input. When the clock enable input is LOW, data shifts on the rising edge of the clock input. A HIGH on the clock enable input disables the clock input.
