Introduction
OMNIVISION's OCHSA10 is the latest addition to its growing family of reflowable CameraCubeChip® wafer-level camera modules designed for medical applications. The module delivers industry-leading 800×800 resolution at up to 60 fps, or 400×400 resolution at 90 fps, enabling blur-free images and video. In addition, the OCHSA10 features a compact form factor of 2.6×1.6 mm and delivers excellent native color imaging performance by integrating an infrared (IR) cut filter that eliminates color shift caused by IR light — a phenomenon that leads to loss of color fidelity. This accurate color reproduction is critical for reliably identifying abnormalities in vivo. OMNIVISION's powerful PureCel®Plus-S stacked pixel technology endows the OCHSA10 with high sensitivity, high full-well capacity, no blooming, low noise, stable black level, and low power consumption. Additional advantages of this pixel architecture include a buried color filter array for improved angular response, a higher chief ray angle, and deep trench isolation for reduced crosstalk. These characteristics deliver superior image quality compared to competing architectures. The OCHSA10 is available in 120° and 90° field-of-view options to provide the best possible endoscopic images for medical, veterinary, and industrial applications. To enable in vivo use, the OCHSA10 is the only camera module in its class to offer ETO and STERRAD sterilization compatibility, waterproofing, and biocompatibility. Furthermore, its power consumption is as low as 82.2 mW, reducing heat at the distal end of the endoscope and improving patient comfort.
