The INA826 is a low-cost instrumentation amplifier with extremely low power consumption and can operate over a very wide single-supply or dual-supply range. The gain can be set from 1 to 1000 using a single external resistor. This device exhibits excellent stability under overheating conditions, achieving a low gain drift of only 35 ppm/°C (maximum) even when G > 1. The INA826 is optimized to provide an excellent common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of over 100 dB at frequencies up to 5 kHz (G = 10). When G = 1, the CMRR exceeds 84 dB across the entire input common-mode range from the negative supply to 1 V positive supply. The INA826 features rail-to-rail output and is well-suited for low-voltage operation with a single 3 V supply and dual supplies up to ±18 V. Additional circuitry can prevent overvoltage conditions (up to ±40 V) at the inputs beyond the supply voltages by limiting the input current to less than 8 mA. The INA826 is available in 8-pin SOIC, VSSOP, and a miniature 3 mm × 3 mm WSON surface-mount packages. All versions are specified for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
