Introduction
ATD5833 is a low-noise stepper motor driver with an integrated translator. Its output drive capability reaches 30V ±2.5A, supporting up to 256 microsteps while achieving low-noise operation.
The integrated translator is the key to ATD5833's ease of use. A single pulse on the STEP pin advances the motor one step, eliminating the need for a phase sequence table, high-frequency control lines, and complex programming interfaces. This makes it well-suited for applications without a microprocessor or where the microprocessor is heavily loaded.
ATD5833 reduces motor noise during operation, delivering smooth rotation even in full-step mode. Mixed current decay is also supported to provide high torque output.
ATD5833 supports automatic half-current lock function, which automatically reduces the output current by half when no STEP change is detected, lowering system standby power consumption.
Synchronous rectification control circuitry improves power dissipation during PWM operation. Internal protection features include overtemperature protection, UVLO, and overcurrent protection.
ATD5833 is available in a QFN28 package with an exposed thermal pad for improved thermal performance. It is a lead-free product compliant with environmental standards.
