Introduction
The ADE7912/ADE7913 are isolated, 3-channel Σ-Δ ADCs for three-phase energy metering using shunt sensors. Data and power isolation is achieved using iCoupler technology. The ADE7912 integrates two 24-bit ADCs, while the ADE7913 integrates three ADCs. The current ADC provides 67 dB SNR within a 3 kHz signal bandwidth, and the voltage ADC provides 72 dB SNR within the same bandwidth. When a shunt is used for current sensing, one channel is dedicated to measuring the voltage across the shunt. Up to two additional channels are dedicated to voltage measurement, typically using resistive voltage dividers. One voltage channel can be used to measure die temperature via an internal sensor. The ADE7913 features three channels: one current channel and two voltage channels. The ADE7912 has only one voltage channel and is otherwise identical to the ADE7913.
