SC7A20 is a high-precision 12-bit digital 3-axis accelerometer IC featuring rich built-in functions, low power consumption, compact size, and accurate measurements. The chip communicates with an MCU via I²C/SPI interface, and acceleration measurement data can be retrieved through interrupt or polling methods. The INT1 and INT2 interrupt pins provide multiple internally auto-detected interrupt signals, suitable for various motion detection applications. Interrupt sources include 6D/4D orientation detection, free-fall detection, sleep and wake-up detection, and single/double-tap detection. The chip incorporates a high-precision calibration module that accurately compensates for sensor offset and gain errors. It offers four selectable full-scale measurement ranges of ±2G, ±4G, ±8G, and ±16G for flexible external acceleration measurement, with an output data rate selectable between 1Hz and 400Hz. The chip features a built-in self-test function that allows customers to verify system functionality during system testing without requiring complex turntable testing. It also includes a built-in product tilt calibration function to compensate for tilt caused by SMT placement and board mounting, consuming no system resources, and system firmware upgrades do not affect sensor parameters. The package is LGA-12-2x2x1.0.
