The LM2675 series regulators are monolithic integrated DC-DC converter circuits that provide all the functions of a step-down switching regulator, capable of driving 1A load current with excellent line and load regulation. The series offers fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, and 12V, as well as an adjustable version. Designed to require minimal external components, these devices are easy to use and incorporate internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The 300kHz switching frequency allows the use of smaller filter components, and standard inductors are commercially available for use with these devices, simplifying switching power supply design. Additional features include: output voltage accuracy guaranteed at ±4% under specified input voltage and output load conditions, and oscillator frequency accuracy of ±15%. An external shutdown function is provided, with a typical standby current of 50μA during shutdown. The output switch provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown protection. The device is available in an SOP8 package.
