Introduction
MTDC-GP22S is a high-precision time measurement circuit with integrated analog comparators, analog switches, and Schmitt triggers, significantly simplifying the peripheral circuitry. It also incorporates a first-wave detection function that substantially enhances noise immunity. By reading the relative width of the first echo pulse, users can obtain signal strength indicators to identify anomalies such as ultrasonic transducer faults, increased pipe wall deposits, and air bubbles in water. A single command completes one ultrasonic transit-time measurement (both upstream and downstream) along with data readout, greatly reducing software overhead and power consumption.
