Introduction
The LIS2DW12TR-MS is a high-precision digital triaxial accelerometer featuring rich functionality, low power consumption, compact form factor, and accurate measurements. The chip communicates with microcontrollers via I²C/SPI interfaces, with acceleration data retrievable through interrupt or polling methods. The INT1 and INT2 interrupt pins support multiple internally auto-detected interrupt signals for various motion detection scenarios, including 6D/4D orientation detection, free-fall detection, sleep/wake-up detection, and single/double-tap detection. An integrated high-precision calibration module provides accurate compensation for sensor offset and gain errors. Four selectable full-scale measurement ranges are available: ±2G, ±4G, ±8G, and ±16G, with output data rates selectable from 1.56 Hz to 4.27 kHz. The built-in self-test function enables functional verification during system testing without the need for complex turntable testing.
Features
- Wide supply voltage range: 1.71 V ~ 3.6 V, compatible with 1.8 V digital I/O
- Supply current as low as 2 μA @ 1.8 V @ 1.56 Hz in low-power mode
- Dynamic full-scale range: ±2 G, ±4 G, ±8 G, ±16 G with 12-bit data output
- Digital output interface: I²C/SPI
- 6D/4D orientation detection
- Free-fall detection
- Single/double-tap detection and motion detection
- Programmable interrupt generation circuit
- Built-in self-test function
