Infineon IRS9103AXTSA1

IRS9103A is a low-cost, compact laser diode driver IC optimized for indirect time-of-flight (ToF) image sensors, supporting high modulation frequencies and efficient conversion of electrical energy to optical energy. This laser driver is designed for automotive-grade applications and is perfectly matched with the REAL3™ image sensor family. The IRS9103A is not limited to indirect ToF applications — it can also serve as a general-purpose low-side laser driver for voltage-mode topologies.

• Fast switching of laser diodes, e.g. in time-of-flight systems
• Laser (typically VCSEL) current up to 10 A
• Laser voltage up to 14 V (supports dual- and triple-junction VCSELs)
• Fast rise and fall times < 1 ns
• Modulation frequency up to 130 MHz
• Switch on-resistance < 120 mΩ
• External LVDS termination resistor allows daisy-chaining of multiple devices

  • LVDS input state always defined
