Introduction
mXT1067TD-AT/mXT1067TD-AB 1.0 employs a unique charge transfer acquisition engine to implement Microchip's patented capacitive sensing method. Combined with an advanced CPU, the complete touchscreen sensing solution is capable of measuring, classifying, and tracking multiple finger touches with high accuracy and minimal response time. The mXT1067TD-AT/mXT1067TD-AB 1.0 supports both mutual capacitance and self-capacitance measurements, where self-capacitance measurements are used to augment mutual capacitance measurements to produce reliable touch information.
Features
- Up to 41 X (transmit) lines and 26 Y (receive) lines for touchscreen and keys
- Up to 1066 nodes assignable to touchscreen
- Assumes sensor electrode pitch of 5.5mm and touchscreen size of 10.51 inches (16:10 aspect ratio); other sizes achievable with different electrode pitches and appropriate sensor materials
- Multi-touch support with real-time tracking of up to 16 simultaneous touches
- Up to 16 nodes assignable as mutual capacitance sensor keys (depending on other configurations)
- Adjacent Key Suppression (AKS) to prevent accidental key activation
- Discrete/overlay touch support, including glass- and PET film-based sensors
- In-cell/touch display support, including TFT, IPS, and OLED
- Synchronization capability with display refresh timing
- Standard (e.g., diamond) and proprietary sensor patterns supported (design review recommended by Microchip or a Microchip-certified touch sensor module partner)
- Compatible with PET or glass, including curved form factors (configuration and stack-up subject to approval by Microchip or a Microchip-certified touch sensor module partner)
- Glass thickness 0.4mm to 4mm (depending on screen size, touch size, configuration, and stack-up)
- Plastic thickness 0.2mm to 3mm (depending on screen size, touch size, configuration, and stack-up)
- Moisture/water compensation
- No false touches from condensation or water drops up to 22mm in diameter
- Single-finger tracking under condensation or water drops up to 22mm in diameter
- Glove touch support up to 5mm thickness (depending on stack-up design)
- Mutual and self-capacitance measurement for reliable touch detection
- Point-to-point mutual capacitance measurement for ultra-sensitive multi-touch sensing
