This sensor module offers strong adaptability to ambient light. It features a pair of infrared emitter and receiver tubes — the emitter transmits infrared signals at a specific frequency, and when an obstacle (reflective surface) is detected in the sensing direction, the infrared signal is reflected back and received by the receiver tube. After processing through a comparator circuit, the red indicator LED lights up and the signal output interface outputs a digital signal (active low). The detection distance can be adjusted via a potentiometer knob, with an effective range of 2~5cm. It is widely applicable in various scenarios such as robot obstacle avoidance, obstacle-avoidance vehicles, assembly line counting, and black/white line tracking.
