JSMSEMI MAX3490ESA-JSM

The MAX3485E series devices are low-power transceivers with ±15kV ESD protection, powered by a +3.3V supply, designed for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. Each device contains one driver and one receiver. The MAX3488 features a slew-rate-limited driver that minimizes EMI and reduces reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at data rates up to 1Mbps. The MAX3485E, MAX3490, and MAX3491 support data rates up to 12Mbps. All devices feature enhanced ESD protection. All driver outputs and receiver inputs are protected to IEC 1000-4-2 standards: ±15kV air-gap discharge, ±8kV contact discharge, and ±15kV Human Body Model. The driver incorporates short-circuit current limiting and is protected by a thermal shutdown circuit that prevents excessive power dissipation by placing the driver outputs in a high-impedance state. The receiver inputs feature a fail-safe characteristic that guarantees a logic-high output when both inputs are open. The MAX3488, MAX3490, and MAX3491 support full-duplex communication, while the MAX3485E is designed for half-duplex communication.
