TI TCA9554PWR

The TCA9554 is a 16-pin device that provides 8-bit general-purpose parallel I/O expansion for the two-wire bidirectional I²C bus (or SMBus) protocol. The device operates over a supply voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V and supports clock frequencies of 100kHz (standard mode) and 400kHz (fast mode). When switches, sensors, buttons, LEDs, fans, and other similar devices require additional I/O, I/O expanders such as the TCA9554 provide a simple solution.

The TCA9554 features interrupt generation on the INT pin when the state of an input port changes. Hardware-selectable address pins A0, A1, and A2 allow up to eight TCA9554 devices to share the same I²C bus. The device also supports power-cycling to generate a power-on reset, restoring it to its default state.
