Introduction
SF32LB52x is a series of highly integrated, high-performance MCU chips designed for ultra-low-power AIoT applications. The chip adopts a big-little core architecture based on the Arm Cortex-M33 STAR-MC1 processor, integrating a high-performance 2D/2.5D graphics engine, dual-mode Bluetooth 5.3, and an audio codec. The big core performance processor operates at up to 240MHz, delivering 984 CoreMark single-core performance, with support for dynamic frequency and power scaling, achieving power efficiency as high as 4.8uA/CoreMark. While providing the high-performance computing power required for rich applications and smooth HMI, the processor can also serve as a sensor hub to manage various sensors and run the Bluetooth protocol stack, effectively balancing high computational performance with ultra-low-power operation. The on-chip 2D/2.5D GPU runs at up to 240MHz and supports dual-layer blending, alpha compositing, hardware-accelerated real-time rotation and scaling, and conversion between various common graphics formats. It also supports hardware-accelerated lossless compressed graphics decompression and native animation, significantly improving bandwidth utilization and reducing storage costs. The built-in LCD controller supports multiple interfaces including 8080/QSPI, enabling autonomous full-screen refresh at up to 60fps without CPU intervention, with support for low-power always-on display functionality. The integrated dual-mode Bluetooth 5.3 transceiver delivers a maximum transmit power of 13dBm in Classic Bluetooth EDR 2 mode, with peak RX current as low as 2.4mA@3.8V, BLE receive sensitivity of -100dBm (1Mbps), and Classic Bluetooth EDR 2 sensitivity of -95.5dBm. Additionally, the chip integrates high-fidelity audio ADC and DAC, supporting Bluetooth calls and headphone connectivity for MP3 playback.
