Introduction
LY6397T is a fully integrated power management IC designed for Bluetooth charging cases, incorporating lithium battery charge management, a synchronous boost converter, battery fuel gauge, and protection function modules. The IC integrates an input overvoltage protection circuit with an OVP threshold of 6.1V and an input voltage withstand rating up to 30V. It features adaptive adapter detection to prevent charging failures or adapter damage caused by insufficient adapter output capability or excessive charging cable resistance. The IC also integrates NTC thermal protection; by default, a single NTC resistor enables temperature monitoring of the lithium battery during both charge and discharge states. In standby mode, when a load is detected at the output port, the IC initiates boost output; when the load current remains below 7mA for 8 consecutive seconds, the IC automatically shuts down, with a typical standby current of 4.5µA after shutdown. The output standby voltage can be configured to either a fixed 2V mode or battery voltage mode. The IC provides comprehensive protection features including input overvoltage protection, thermal protection, short-circuit/overload protection, battery undervoltage protection, and input undervoltage protection. It supports battery level indication for 1 to 4 LEDs, achieves boost efficiency up to 93%, and is available in an ESOP8 package.
