Introduction
The LIS2DW12TR is a high-precision digital 3-axis accelerometer featuring rich functionality, low power consumption, compact form factor, and accurate measurements. The chip communicates with microcontrollers via I²C or SPI interface, with acceleration data accessible through interrupts or polling. The INT1 and INT2 interrupt pins support multiple internally auto-detected interrupt signals, suitable for various motion detection scenarios. Interrupt sources include data ready, FIFO watermark threshold and overflow, 6D/4D orientation detection, free-fall detection, sleep and wake-up detection, and single/double-tap detection. An integrated high-precision calibration module accurately compensates for sensor offset and gain errors. Four selectable full-scale measurement ranges — ±2G, ±4G, ±8G, and ±16G — enable flexible external acceleration measurement, with an output data rate selectable from 1Hz to 400Hz. The built-in self-test function allows functional verification during system testing without requiring complex turntable testing. In addition, the chip features a product tilt calibration function that compensates for tilt caused by component placement and PCB mounting; this function consumes no system resources and sensor parameters are unaffected by system firmware upgrades.
