Introduction
BHI160(B) is a compact, low-power smart hub integrating a triaxial gyroscope, triaxial accelerometer, and programmable MCU. It comes pre-loaded with software and dedicated algorithms for activity recognition, specifically designed to enable always-on motion sensing. The device is ideal for smartphones, wearables, and other applications requiring high-accuracy real-time motion data at extremely low power consumption. It combines Bosch's best-in-class 6-axis IMU (BMI160) with an MCU — the new Bosch sensor fusion core — enabling a complete Android sensor stack on-device even without an Android OS or Android environment. Combined with built-in computational capability and highly configurable on-board memory, the BHI smart hub delivers a low-power solution for motion sensing and data processing.

- Android 5/L/Lollipop and Android 6/M/Marshmallow support (non-HiFi), including batching with dual FIFO buffers for wake-up and non-wake-up events, with full Android sensor stack support even without an Android OS or other Android environment.
- High-speed I²C interface with data rates up to 3.4 MBit/s for efficient, low-power data transfer.
- Highly configurable internal RAM for feature expansion and/or FIFO data buffering.
