Introduction
SL27524A is a 5A dual-channel, high-speed, low-side gate driver capable of effectively and safely driving MOSFETs and IGBTs. Its low propagation delay and mismatch, combined with a compact SOIC-8 package, enable MOSFETs to switch at frequencies of hundreds of kilohertz. It is ideally suited for synchronous rectification drive applications in server and telecom power supplies, where dead-time accuracy of the synchronous MOSFET directly impacts converter efficiency. The driver supports paralleling of both channels to increase output drive current. Input thresholds are based on TTL logic with a voltage tolerance range of -5V to 20V. The wide VDD operating range (4.5V to 20V) enables effective driving of MOSFETs or GaN power switches. Integrated UVLO protection ensures the output remains low under abnormal conditions. The independent input range (-5V to 24V) ensures robust operation during undershoot or overshoot caused by parasitic inductance. Input thresholds are TTL-compatible.
