Introduction
The FAN7382 is a monolithic high-side and low-side gate driver IC designed to drive MOSFETs and IGBTs operating at voltages up to +600V. Its high-voltage process and common-mode noise rejection technology enable stable high-side driver operation in high dv/dt noise environments. The advanced level-shifting circuit allows the high-side driver to operate with a bias voltage down to Vs = -9.8V (typical), and when VBS = 15V, the input logic levels are compatible with standard TTL logic gates. Undervoltage lockout (UVLO) circuitry on both channels prevents malfunction when VCC or VBS falls below the specified threshold voltage. The output drivers typically source/sink 350 mA/650 mA, making the FAN7382 suitable for fluorescent lamp ballasts, PDP scan drivers, and motor control applications.
