WCH CH432T

CH432 is a dual UART chip containing two 16C550-compatible asynchronous serial ports. It supports half-duplex transceiver auto-switching and IrDA infrared encoding/decoding, with a maximum communication baud rate of 4Mbps. It can be used for RS232 serial port expansion in MCU/embedded systems, high-speed serial ports with automatic hardware flow control, RS485 communication, IrDA communication, and more.

• Two fully independent asynchronous serial ports, compatible with 16C450, 16C550, and 16C552 with enhancements.
• Supports 5, 6, 7, or 8 data bits and 1 or 2 stop bits.
• Supports odd, even, none, space (0), and mark (1) parity modes.
• Programmable baud rate, supporting 115200bps and up to 4Mbps.
• Built-in 16-byte FIFO buffer with 4 FIFO trigger levels.
• Supports MODEM signals CTS, DSR, RI, DCD, DTR, RTS; convertible to RS232 levels via 75232 chip.
• Supports hardware flow control with CTS and RTS auto-handshake and auto baud rate control, compatible with TL16C550C.
• Supports serial frame error detection and Break line interval detection.
• Supports full-duplex and half-duplex serial communication; provides RTS transmit status signal for RS485 auto direction control.
• Built-in SIR infrared codec, supporting IrDA infrared communication at 2400bps to 115200bps.
• Built-in clock oscillator, supporting crystals in the frequency range of 0.9216MHz~32MHz; default crystal is 22.1184MHz.
• Two optional MCU interfaces: 8-bit passive parallel interface at 10MB speed and SPI serial interface at 3MB/24MHz speed.
• Parallel interface includes an 8-bit data bus, 4-bit address, and 3-wire control: chip select input, write strobe, and optional read strobe.
• SPI serial interface includes SPI chip select, serial clock, serial input and output; SPI output and input can be connected in parallel.
• Interrupt output pin is optional, active-low; can be replaced by polling the interrupt flag bits in registers.
• Supports 5V or 3.3V supply voltage with serial port low-power sleep mode.
• Available in QFP-44 and SSOP-20 lead-free packages, RoHS compliant.
