Introduction
MC1081PCB is an SMT module for the ten-channel multi-mode wideband digital capacitive sensing IC MC1081S, compatible with development and debugging use of various MC1081 series packages including MC1081S, MC1081T, and MC1081L. The MC1081 series is a highly integrated, multi-channel, wideband digital capacitive sensing IC that connects directly to measurement electrode plates and detects capacitance changes through oscillation frequency variation. The excitation frequency is configurable in the range of 0.1~30MHz, supporting multiple operating modes including single-ended capacitance, floating differential capacitance, and mutual capacitance. It is widely used in applications such as liquid level measurement, moisture content measurement, water immersion sensing, humidity analysis, dielectric detection, proximity sensing, button touch, and gesture recognition. The MC1081PCB board integrates the MC1081S IC and minimal peripheral circuitry, adopting a combined half-hole and through-hole design for convenient testing. It features ten capacitive sensing channels arranged sequentially along three edges of the PCB (C0~C9). MC1081PCB uses I2C communication mode with built-in pull-up resistors in the IC. The communication address can be selected via jumper resistors on the small board (labeled "70" and "71"), with a default address of 0x70 (connected to GND). The SHLD interface on the MC1081PCB provides active shielding to eliminate the influence of surrounding parasitic capacitance.
