Introduction
This 8-bit non-inverting translator uses two separate configurable power-supply rails. Port A is designed to track VCC, with a VCC supply voltage of 1.2V to 3.6V. Port B is designed to track VCC, with a VCC supply voltage of 1.65V to 5.5V. This enables universal low-voltage bidirectional translation between the 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V voltage nodes. VCC must not exceed VCCB. When the output enable (OE) input is low, all outputs are placed in a high-impedance state. The TXB0108 is designed to be powered by VCC for the OE input circuitry. This device is dedicated to partial power-down applications using Ioff. The Ioff circuit disables the outputs to prevent damaging current backflow when the device is powered down. To ensure a high-impedance state during power-up or power-down, OE should be connected to GND through a pull-down resistor; the minimum value of this resistor depends on the current sourcing capability of the driver.
