WB6058C is a single-cell, fully integrated CC/CV linear lithium battery charger IC with a 32V input voltage rating and a maximum charge current of 1A. It adopts a compact package with minimal external components, making it particularly suitable for handheld device applications. The charging process consists of three stages: pre-charge to recover deeply discharged batteries; constant-current charging for rapid capacity replenishment; and constant-voltage charging to fully charge the battery. The IC features built-in thermal foldback, which reduces the charge current when the temperature reaches the set threshold to minimize heat dissipation. With an integrated power transistor, no external current-sense resistor or reverse-blocking diode is required. It supports battery reverse-polarity protection, ensuring no damage to the IC even if the battery is connected in reverse. The constant-current charge current is adjustable via an external resistor. After the battery is fully charged, the IC continuously monitors the battery voltage and automatically restarts charging when the voltage drops below the set threshold. The package type is DFN3*3-8.
