Introduction
The T1601X series is a mixed-signal digital-analog temperature sensing IC, offering a maximum measurement accuracy of ±0.1°C with no user calibration required. The temperature sensing principle is based on the characteristic relationship between CMOS semiconductor PN junction temperature and bandgap voltage. After small-signal amplification, analog-to-digital conversion, and digital calibration compensation, the data is output via a digital bus. The series features high accuracy, excellent consistency, fast temperature measurement, low power consumption, flexible programmable configuration, and long service life.
The IC integrates a 16-bit ADC with a resolution of 0.004°C and an ultra-wide operating range of -103°C to +153°C. Each IC undergoes 100% testing and calibration before shipment, with calibration coefficients fitted according to the temperature error characteristics, and compensation calculations performed automatically on-chip. To simplify system integration, ID search, temperature data memory access, and function configuration are all based on the digital 1-Wire (OneWire, OW) protocol, requiring only a single GPIO port on the host MCU for read/write access. The 1-Wire communication interface provides a low-cost solution for multi-node sensor acquisition and networking over a shared data line, supporting long transmission distances, a large number of nodes, and easy deployment of spatially distributed sensor networks. Up to 100 nodes can be daisy-chained over distances of 100 to 500 meters.
The IC integrates non-volatile E²PROM memory cells for storing the chip ID, high/low temperature alarm thresholds, temperature calibration correction values, and user-defined information such as sensor node numbers and location data.
