Introduction
The LM258DR-CN series contains two independent, high-gain, internally frequency-compensated operational amplifiers designed for single-supply operation over a wide voltage range. The series can also be used with split supplies, and the low quiescent supply current is independent of supply voltage magnitude. Application areas include transducer amplifiers, DC gain blocks, and all conventional op-amp circuits that can now be more easily implemented in single-supply systems. For example, the series can be operated directly from the standard +5V supply voltage used in digital systems and can easily provide the required interface electronics without the need for an additional ±15V supply.
