Introduction
The LM13700MX/NOPB-CN series contains two current-controlled transconductance amplifiers, each with differential inputs and push-pull outputs. The two amplifiers share a common power supply but otherwise operate independently. Linearizing diodes are provided at the inputs to reduce distortion and allow higher input levels. The result is a 10 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio relative to 0.5% total harmonic distortion. The device also features high-impedance buffers specifically designed to match the dynamic range of the amplifiers. The output buffers of the LM13700MX/NOPB-CN differ from those of the LM13700MX/NOPB-CN in that their input bias current (and therefore their output DC level) is independent of IABC. This may offer superior performance over the LM13700MX/NOPB-CN in audio applications.
