Introduction
The BME690 is an AI-integrated gas sensor incorporating high-linearity, high-accuracy pressure, humidity, and temperature sensors. It features a robust and compact 3.0×3.0×0.9 mm³ package, designed for mobile and connected applications with stringent size and low-power requirements. More robust than its predecessor, it is suitable for use in high-condensation environments. Its gas sensor detects volatile organic compounds, volatile sulfur compounds, and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen. Like the BME688, the BME690 features gas scanning capability. In the standard configuration, volatile sulfur compounds can be detected as indicators of conditions such as bacterial growth. The sensitivity, selectivity, data rate, and power consumption of the gas scanner are all customizable. The BME AI-Studio tool enables customers to train the BME690's gas scanner for their specific applications, such as home appliances, IoT products, or smart home systems.
