Introduction
Dedicated detection sensor IC for single-key capacitive touch buttons, adopting the latest generation charge detection technology to determine finger proximity or touch on the sensing surface based on the charge level generated between the operator's finger and the touch pad. With no mechanical components and no wear, the sensing element can be placed behind any insulating layer (such as glass or plastic), making it easy to create a keyboard that is fully sealed from the surrounding environment. Panel patterns can be freely designed with flexible choice of key size and shape; characters, logos, and viewports can be combined at will, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing and stylish appearance that resists fading, deformation, and stands up to long-term use. This fundamentally overcomes the limitations of metal and mechanical panels, offering reliable performance and flexible aesthetic design. It can directly replace existing conventional panels (such as metal keypads, membrane keypads, and conductive rubber keypads) without any modification to existing programs. Key advantages include minimal peripheral components, low cost, and low power consumption.
