The 1621B is a peripheral device for expanding MCU I/O ports. With a 32×4 display matrix, it is a 128-dot memory-mapped multi-function LCD driver circuit. The software features of the 1621B make it well-suited for LCD display applications, including LCD modules and display subsystems. The interface between the host controller and the 1621B requires only 3 or 4 ports. The Powerdown command reduces power consumption.
