Introduction
WS2813C - 2121 is an intelligent externally-controlled LED light source that integrates the control circuit and light-emitting chip into a single package. Its form factor is identical to a standard 2121 LED, with each component functioning as one pixel. Each pixel incorporates a smart digital interface, data latch, signal reshaping and amplification driver circuit, reverse polarity protection circuit, along with a high-precision internal oscillator and high-precision constant current control module, effectively ensuring excellent color consistency across pixels. Dual-signal transmission is implemented so that a single damaged pixel does not affect the overall color display. The data protocol uses a single-wire return-to-zero communication method. After power-on reset, the DIN port receives data from the controller; the first pixel extracts 24-bit data and stores it in the internal data latch, while the remaining data is reshaped and forwarded to the next cascaded pixel via the DO port — each pixel transmission reduces the signal by 24 bits. With automatic signal reshaping and forwarding technology, the number of cascaded pixels is not limited by signal transmission constraints, only by signal transmission speed requirements. The port scan frequency of up to 2KHz ensures no flickering when captured by high-definition cameras, making it suitable for high-speed moving applications. A RESET time of 280μs or more prevents false resets during interruptions, enabling support for lower-frequency, cost-effective MCUs.
