Introduction
The MS8544ARZ (quad-channel) is a general-purpose, low-offset, high-frequency-response, low-power op-amp. At 5V, each amplifier delivers an excellent 1MHz bandwidth, 1V/μs slew rate, and 28μA quiescent current, making the MS8544ARZ series suitable for a wide range of applications. The MS8544ARZ op-amps are designed to provide optimum performance in low-voltage and low-power systems. The input common-mode voltage range includes ground, with a maximum input offset voltage of 3mV. These devices achieve rail-to-rail output swing under heavy load conditions. The MS8544ARZ series op-amps operate over a full temperature range of -40°C to +125°C with single or dual supplies of 1.5V to 5.5V. The MS8544ARZ is a low-power, unity-gain stable, rail-to-rail op-amp operating from a single supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V (±0.9V to ±2.75V). Supply voltages exceeding 6V (absolute maximum) will permanently damage the amplifier. Rail-to-rail input and output swing significantly increases dynamic range, especially in low-supply applications. Good layout practice requires a 0.1μF capacitor placed close to the supply pins. The MS8544ARZ features internal phase reversal protection. Many op-amps exhibit phase reversal when the input exceeds the linear common-mode range. This most commonly occurs in non-inverting circuits, where inputs exceeding the specified common-mode voltage range cause the output to invert to the opposite rail. The MS8544ARZ input is protected against phase reversal due to excessive common-mode voltage, and the output voltage will be clamped to the corresponding rail.
