Introduction
The NCT75 is a two-wire programmable temperature sensor with an over-temperature interrupt output pin that indicates an out-of-limit condition. This pin is an open-drain output and can operate in either comparator mode or interrupt mode. Temperature measurements are converted to digital form via a high-resolution 12-bit Σ-Δ ADC. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Communication with the NCT75 is accomplished through the SMBus/I²C interface, through which its internal registers can be accessed to read the current temperature, change configuration settings, and adjust temperature limits. The NCT75 supports a wide supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V. The device is available in three space-saving packages: 8-pin DFN, 8-pin Micro8, and 8-pin SOIC.
