The CA-IS322x series are dual-channel isolated gate drivers capable of delivering 6A peak sink current and 5A peak source current. These devices support high-speed switching, and combined with their ultra-low propagation delay (56ns typical) and ultra-low pulse width distortion, they are ideal for driving MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC, and other high-power transistors. Operating frequencies up to 5MHz make them well-suited for inverters, isolated power supplies, motor drives, and similar applications. All devices employ capacitive isolation technology with an integrated digital isolator. The input side and driver output side are isolated via silicon dioxide (SiO₂) capacitive dielectric barriers, providing isolation up to 3.75kV_RMS (narrow-body SOIC package) and a minimum CMTI of 100V/ns. In addition, the internal circuitry provides functional isolation between Driver A and Driver B on the secondary side (output side), capable of withstanding a 1500V DC working voltage. The CA-IS322x gate drivers can be configured as dual low-side, dual high-side, or half-bridge drivers with programmable dead time. Enable control (EN pin on CA-IS3222) and disable control (DIS pin on CA-IS3221) allow the outputs of Driver A and Driver B to be quickly pulled low to turn off the external power transistors. Furthermore, when either the input-side or output-side power supply is unpowered, open, or below the UVLO threshold, or when the device is in a disabled state, the driver outputs default to a low state, turning off the external power transistors. Likewise, when the input signal is open, the driver outputs default to low, turning off the external power transistors. The CA-IS322x input-side supply V_CCI accepts a supply voltage range of 3V to 18V, while the output-side supply V_DD accepts up to 25V. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C.
