Introduction
CA-IS3082Cx is an enhanced isolation half-duplex RS-485 transceiver with a high electrical isolation rating, meeting the stringent requirements of industrial applications. The logic input and output buffers within this series are isolated via a silicon dioxide (SiO₂) insulation barrier, capable of withstanding electrical isolation up to 5000Vₚ₋ₚ (1 minute) and providing a typical CMTI performance of ±150kV/μs. The insulation barrier blocks ground loops between the logic side and bus side, helping to reduce inter-port interference caused by high ground potential differences and ensuring correct data transmission.
CA-IS3082Cx devices support multi-node data communication buses with a maximum communication rate of 500kbps and allow up to 256 transceivers on the same bus. CA-IS3082Cx is a half-duplex transceiver whose transmit/receive state is controlled via the receiver enable and driver enable pins, preventing bus contention.
CA-IS3082Cx devices are available in a 16-pin wide-body SOIC package with a pinout compatible with mainstream isolated RS-485 transceivers, supporting an operating temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃.
The CA-IS3082Cx enhanced isolation half-duplex RS-485 transceiver provides electrical isolation of up to 5kVₚ₋ₚ between the bus side and controller side (logic side).
